CODY PAYNE
Cody Payne has over eight years of experience in marketing consumer products to the young adult audience. Prior to joining College Marketing Associates in 2003, Cody was responsible for over 1,000 promotional events during his tenure at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Brands Inc. - a Fortune 500 Company. The tobacco industry in which he built his experience is perhaps one of the most regulated, challenging and capricious industries in America. Working for the nation's largest smokeless tobacco company, Cody and his team were charged with growing the 21+ consumer base for products with significant social barriers. By creating events geared towards the lifestyle of 21+ adults, he was able to successfully increase product trial and usage throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Cody has produced events ranging in both size and scope. This experience has allowed him to accumulate valuable knowledge on how to break through the clutter and deliver the intended message. From overcoming audible and visual noise issues in crowded bars to changing the public's perception of products with challenging stereotypes, Cody is a true innovator in the area of marketing and event promotions.
